I was playing Batterfield 3 and the PSU was very hot and the fan doesn#39;t spin at all. My unit is defective or does not reach sufficient temperature to turn the fan?. The likelihood that you have the fan turned on with Prime95 and Furmark may very well be low as well. This is one of the reason why I dislike semi-passive design on a low power draw system. I preferred it to spin at low RPM and then increase steadily when needed it.

Well, I won#x27;t lie: I wouldn#x27;t want to see you get stuck with another Corsair PSU - not even if it#x27;s an HX or AX series. Corsair just doesn#x27;t rub me the right way anymore. I#x27;d actually be happy if they were to quit making PSUs. They should at least go back to their roots and quit making a mixture of junk and quality and ONLY make quality.

The x16 slot and one M.2 slot are directly connected to the CPU and those two are the ones with PCIe 5.0 support and the only things I have had confirmed are PCIe 5.0 at this point in time.
